“Every person has a story worth understanding. My approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and thoughtful questions. I strive to help clients recognize the resilience and capability they already carry.”
— Dr. Keith Kutnar
Specialties: Psychological/Neuropsychological Assessment | ADHD | Executive Functioning | Anxiety | Mood Disorders | Learning Disorders | Adult Psychotherapy
Dr. Kutnar is a Colorado licensed clinical psychologist (PSY.0006035) and co-founder, alongside his partner, Dr. Stephanie Kutnar, of Beacon Psychological Services. He creates a warm, collaborative space where clients can figure out what’s going on, what’s getting in their way, and what real, workable change could look like for them.
Struggling with focus, memory, or follow-through can leave you feeling frustrated and unsure what’s actually going on. Keith brings extensive training in neuropsychological assessment to help answer that question, with ADHD as a particular area of expertise. His evaluations look closely at attention, memory, and executive functioning to identify what’s really contributing to the struggle, so clients walk away with clarity, not just a diagnosis.
In therapy, Keith works with adults navigating ADHD, executive dysfunction, anxiety, depression, chronic illness or pain, grief, and life’s harder transitions. He draws on ACT, CBT, humanistic, motivational interviewing, and strength-based approaches, adapting to what each person needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method.
Keith’s path to private practice included training at an academic medical center, private group practices, and a community aging center, along with a predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship, before several years as a staff psychologist at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He also offers clinical supervision, consulting, and speaking engagements for clinicians and organizations.
